Hunter Stanley, MDiv, MA
Associate Licensed Counselor
Hunter is an Associate Licensed Counselor under the supervision of Jay Lloyd. In addition to a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School (Samford University), Hunter also holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Hunter believes that obstacles, while oftentimes painful, provide an avenue to experience the depth of meaning life has to offer. Towards illuminating and processing these experiences, Hunter seeks to walk alongside his clients with authenticity, support, empathy and intentionality.
Hunter works with both couples and individuals (including adolescents). His counseling interests include grief, anxiety, depression, spirituality, relationship issues, codependency, and substance abuse and addiction. He also works often with those who find themselves in various transitions or with identity questions.
Prior to becoming a counselor, he worked for many years in a corporate setting, and even spent a season of his life working with teenagers as a youth minister and camp counselor. Hunter is married and the father of three sons and a bird dog.
