Hope for Codependency
Caring for others is a natural part of who we are, and can be a source of rejuvenation and growth. When this natural role is taken to an unnatural level, however, compulsive and destructive behaviors can lead to codependency, potentially creating significant problems within and among individuals.
Our Approach to Help and Healing
Counseling for codependency allows individuals and families an opportunity to explore the learned behaviors which are being perpetuated, while also providing the place to address other issues that often emerge (such as depression, anxiety, stress, and physical illness). Those in treatment can expect to learn how to value themselves, establish healthy boundaries with others, communicate more effectively, and set realistic expectations.
Covenant Counseling’s trained staff provides individuals and families expertise to work within their situations to build healthy relationships, address the personal needs of each family member, and develop ways to recognize and handle the unhealthy guilt that is often associated with codependency.
