Rachael is a Licensed Professional Counselor who completed her degree in Human Development and Family Studies at Auburn University, and received her Master’s in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Rachael completed her clinical internship at The Amelia Center in Birmingham, continuing to work there for several years. While there, in addition to working frequently with parents who experienced the death of a child, she specialized in grief counseling for children, teenagers, and young adults.

At The Amelia Center, Rachael created and led a monthly grief group for teenage girls, and continues to lead a grief group at The Foundry, which she started in 2012. Before becoming a counselor, Rachael gained more than eight years of experience working directly with teenagers in various capacities.

At Covenant Counseling, Rachael works with both individuals and couples, with a particular interest in working with female adolescents. From her clinical background in grief work, she continues to have a special interest in working with those who have experienced miscarriages and infant loss.

Her other counseling areas include self-esteem, concerns about self-harm, anxiety, depression, anger, parenting, relationships issues and substance abuse
