Alice Haygood Churnock is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a strong background in public speaking, experienced in leading seminars and groups locally, regionally and internationally. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Corporate Journalism from Auburn University, Alice earned her Master’s in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Alice specializes in counseling adolescents and parents in areas relating to behavior modification, depression, eating disorders and body image, as well as stress and anger management. In addition, she is certified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), a personality assessment she frequently uses in her work with families. She also has experience in play therapy, art therapy and group therapy.
To equip girls with the spiritual, mental and social skills necessary for late adolescence, Alice created the SNAP! (Sisters oN A Purpose) Program for the middle school-aged girls. SNAP! is a one-week, intensive program addressing the dynamics of friendship, problem-solving, assertiveness skills, body image and much more.
